The Lecture
1 Indiana University-Bloomington. • Mary Favret teaches English and Gender Studies at Indiana University-Bloomington; occasionally she lectures. Her published work ranges over a variety of topics anchored in the study of romanticism: women writers, gender and genre, representations of violence, the militarization of society, the phenomenology of reading and questions of affect. Her most recent book is War at a Distance: Romanticism and the Making of Modern Wartime (Princeton UP, 2010).
